Last few months I’ve seen numerous posts on LinkedIn where people moved out of their jobs and started something they were always wanting to do, they stepped outside of the ‘norm’!.
In some cases, the reason was that a pay cut was already in place, what could further go wrong?
Whereas in some cases people knew it was time for new world order (Covid era) and they might as well give their own venture a shot!
This brings me to my article today which focuses on the idea of unconventional careers. (I started a weekly webinar on this as well, you can view the same here!)
Most individuals continue to live life conforming to the so-called societal norm of ‘success’. They sacrifice their dreams and goals out of fear of stepping aside from the norm.
While the norm propagates stability, the courage to break out of it gives a chance of success and a thrill in living life.
Those who chose to do the latter, stand out for growing towards their own uniqueness because they know that success will follow.
When they wake up every morning, they aren’t tired of their monotonous 9-6 routine, they are ready to conquer the day to the best of their abilities.
The era of the standardized industrial worker is over and the need of the hour is not to compare yourself with others around you but to find your own uniqueness!
Develop it, celebrate it as well as monetize it for your growth and fulfillment.
No one can be better at being you than YOU. Only you have lived your life through its ups and downs which have shaped you to your own perfection.
Building upon this thought I’ve started weekly webinars on unconventional careers, this week I interacted with someone who moved from the corporate life of investment banking and media to making presentations for these corporates as well as training people on PowerPoint presentation and communication! In case you’d like to check that out you can do so here!
